But seriously, I know that in DC/MD it wouldn't be an issue if your side markers weren't used as turn signals. The G35's front turn signals are in the head lights and they reflect amber.
Skeleton is right. Check your state laws on it. They specifically break down light output and reflection for each side of the vehicle.

I think i am going to go with the piaa extreme white 168 wedge bulb- 5w 19172. They are only $10.99 here:

what do you guys think? These seem pretty good. They are cheap and name brand. Or should i go more expensive?

People with PIAA Xtreme white bulbs had good results, so I think you made the right choice. I also ordered the same bulbs(two sets, for clearance strip and clear corners) along with MTEC Super White H4 bulbs to match the lowbeam... can't wait for those to get here!!

I use the 19172. I think that they work pretty well. My replacements should be in this week so if you want to wait you can check them out on my car.

You're wrong. The side markers MUST reflect amber, regardless if they are turn signals or not. A clear corner with an amber bulb is still illegal, but it will not draw nearly as much attention as a white or blue bulb.

I'm not sure how or why it happened, but I fancy myself the lighting guru. Please don't burst my bubble.

So I went in to my local (tweeter) store where they sell PIAA lights. Since the guy didn't know the difference between PIAA LED and normal PIAA bulbs he was actually nice enough to let me try them before I buy them.( I think my brand new G helped) So we went out and tried the PIAA white LED bulbs and the normal PIAA extreme white bulbs. This is my conclusion: PIAA white LED bulbs are a whiter color but the PIAA extreme white are much brighter and fill up more of the strip and clear corner. I think the PIAA white LED bulbs matches the HID color better but the extreme white looks better since its fills and spreads more light. In the end I went with the PIAA LED.
