Don't put LED in your headlights. The output will suck, horribly bad. It is like putting HID where halogen is supposed to go. The housing is just not designed for it, and you will have less useable output.

You can buy Matsushita ballasts used on eBay, which is the factory option. If you don't want stock, get a hylux ballasts. Those are some baller ballasts.

Yeah I was looking for aftermarket but im having trouble finding one that will match up with the original igniter, so I started looking for factory replacement. These Hylux ones do look good, but I'm wondering if i have d2r stock bulbs would the h1 bulbs fit in its place?

No, only use the bulb as designed. There are little tabs preventing you from doing so. H1 bulbs are only aftermarket, where D2R are OEM bulbs. Good bulbs can be had for cheap aka Morimoto. If you have projectors you are upgrading to you can use D2S

I like my new 5500k bulbs they match well with the 5k LED's for accent lighting.

Cool. Do you have a preference on wattage? The factory ones are 35 but I was kinda leaning toward the 55w hylux. And since I'm not really an expert I was kind of wanting to make sure that I needed the a0050 model for a direct plug and play because on the a2282 there is another cable that I don't know what it plugs into.

What usually comes with higher wattage in electronics? More heat.

More heat burns bowls (cracking of the chrome material). I would recommend no higher than 40W ballasts.

Yeah, I didn't really think about that. Ok I have one last question. Would I need the can bus option. I don't think mine has a headlight error light on the dash but I would just like to know. And thanks for the insight on all of this.

I don't think so. Not certain on that one. If you have a warning light it should kick on, on the dash when you turn the car to the on (but not start) position. I've never heard of a G having issues with regular bulbs.
