Headlight brands
Headlight brands
So I just installed some Eagle Eyes black projectors on my 05 coupe. They were some of the cheaper ones at $260. I got the LED halos instead of the CCFL and I regret it. The LED halos are ridiculously bright. The projector almost looks like it's off next to the crazy bright halo.
But I also believe they are defective. The right side I can see the bulb wiggling when I hit bumps, and I'm positive it's installed securely. Then on the left side, the projector lens is cockeyed upwards with a big gap on the top. Also after aiming/test driving, there was moisture in the left lens. It wasn't raining or anything. Humidity was 70%. Ridiculous.
So I notice a lot of different brands and up to $150 price differences between housings that look 100% identical in the pics, and all are made in Taiwan. Are the different brands really any different? If I got the more expensive, although identical housings, would I have better luck? Or is it just different mark up from different sellers?

I can't speak as I never bought the aftermarket but when I just had the car in the bodyshop and one of the headlights was cracked in an accident, I decided noway am I venturing into the aftermarket on headlights. I read to many bad things and what a b*tch to swap out, especially if its the middle of winter and freezing out. I would stick with OEM. Yeah, you pay more but one ticket for headlight not functioning, plus your time to change them is worth the extra price in my opinion.
