Re: Gauge Cluster - Lighting

Jaymes: How could it be changed? Why would it cost $$$? Would they have to replace more than the bulbs?

11 "Black" @ 3.0 watts
3 "Brown @ 1.4 watts
"Black" and "Brown" denotes the colour of the socket.
Does not give bulb replacement number.

Re: Gauge Cluster - Lighting

Dyenboy,

Since we know how many bulbs there are are you going to proceed with changing the lighting for the gauges and center console?

Sorry for being a pest but I was hoping you or somebody else would try to change it and post what the process would be for the install on the forum.

Thanks!!!!!!!

Re: Gauge Cluster - Lighting

I put in white/orange gauges into my old BMW M3 that would be the perfect thing for the G35. I bought them from uucmoterwerks and I am saying they would BE SO PERFECT for the G. They weren't hard to install at all in the beemer, hell, me and my wife did it alone one night. This has got to be do-able......

Unless you're really gung-ho to try a custom job, my advice would be patience. Give the aftermarket a year and you'll have a ton of guage choices and probablly some NISMO ( er, R-Spec ) Infiniti guage options available as well :-)

Re: Gauge Cluster - Lighting

when i was surfing the net, i found this site. you guys may be interested. when i get my g i will definitly be going to them for a set of full custom gauges or gauge bezel. the prices are reasonable and its only 4-6 week turnaround on new styles, ie cars they have not done before...catch is they need about 15-20 interested prospects, and a close up pic of the gauges. hope i helped you guys some.
