What color is the stock bulb on the sidemarker?

On the OEM setup, I know that the sidemarker blinks amber in color, but is that due to the bulb being amber in color or is that a pure effort of the amber color plastic housing?

I want to change the sidemarker to clear color but don't want to get in trouble with cops in Canada. I can live with an amber blinking light, but just want the marker to look clear if possible.

Hope I made myself clear.
Thx ppz

It is just regular bulb... you know, bulbs we see everywhere with yellowish lighting. It is only the housing that is amber. It would look ghetto to get clear sidemarkers and leave the stock bulb in. You can either use the amber bulbs that come with the clear markers or buy a white colored bulb. I'm using PIAA Xtreme White wedge bulbs with great success. Mine looks bit bluish because of the reflection from my car's paint since mine is blue... should be fine with other colors, though.

so the stock bulb is yellowish in color.
and there are bulbs that comes with an order of clear sidemarker that are amber in color?

I know it would be a little ridiculous to leave the stock bulb in, but that prevents me from getting into trouble with the cops.

yup. You got it. Just use the amber bulbs that come with clear markers if you don't want to get in trouble with cops. I personally didn't have any problems with cops and I have white bulbs in there.
