I got an email back from Mike over at clearcorners...

The G35c tail light project we have in mind will be incredible, I have some serious changes that I would like to make to the internals of the tail light.

To give you an idea, the internal housing of the G35 tail lights are chrome,
but is mounted behind a smooth red lens. We will be fully dis-assembling
the tail light. The chrome inner housing will be re-sprayed with a
matte-black finish. The main parking/brake lamp LEDs will not be used for
parking lamp function anymore, they will ONLY work during brake use.
Instead, we will be adding LED rings around the two circles toward the
outside of the tail light (the brake and signal circles). Those will
illuminate very much like the 180SX tail lights you see here:

The signal bulb will of course, be removed and replaced with an LED signal.
Anyway, this is what we have in mind right now. The first steps of course,
would be to see a set of lamps in person. Its important we inspect the
build quality of the lamp to determine our methods of dis-assembly and
re-assembly, wiring, etc.

We are also looking to develop a black housing/LED headlamp for the G35 with white LED rings. This will be quite a nice upgrade, very similar to the Z33 350Z headlamps.

G35 products. We already have a customer who will be assisting us with the
G35 Sedan products, but we still need Coupe. Note, we offer 20% off to
customers who assist us with R&D on new products. Feel free to leave me

So if anyone is interested in supplying the tail lights for R+D, feel free to contact mike@clearcorners.com You will be tail light less until they send the modified ones back over to you. So you will need a spare car.

Looks like we should reserve judgment for the final product on our car. I think for the 240sx, it looked pretty nice. However, that same lens setup on our car would look like [censored] for sure.

Isn't the outer portion bigger than the inners? If one circle is larger than the other, it probably won't have the same effect as the Skyline's.

I would like to see what they do with the sedan ones tho. Hopefully nothing too 'rice'. I just want red and white tails.
