how do I paint my tailights?
I saw a Z with"smoked out" tailights and it looked really good. Upon speaking with the owner, he said that he used clear coat and waxed it after. Does anyone have any info as to this procedure?

all u have to do it purchase smoke taillight spray
i would recommend the Vans paint from nopi
make sure its transluent...
While I would open the tailights and spray inside, most people and most likely with the Z did was spray outside and finish it with a coat of clearcoat to prevent chips and scratches.
Make sure to cover the revserse light

There was also a guy whom mentioned that he had a tint shop cut and apply like 35% titanium tint to his black coupe lenses. This might be good idea too since you can remove the tint at a later time. Peace.

i got mine done hte bodyshop does it for $100 he put a little blue in it to give it a blue shine, the reverse lens is blue now but it still lights up white strangely.

CadillacCarl is selling his G35 soon and lost interest in the car after some kids ruined his ride in a parking lot, got screwed over by the bodyshop, and wants to get something else. Sad things happen to great people sometimes.

there is a 'smoke' spraypaint sold at most auto-hobby, race, furious for your fast ride stores across the nation. I've seen some owners use these 'smoked out' sprays.. they've sprayed their taillights to the point these lens are black. -_-;
taillights like the vw golf GTi and the last gen mbz c-class would look nice though... i guess a new project is on it's way.
