I was told that the ballasts of 06 headlights are different from previous model. The ballasts of 03-05 model can not be swapped into 06 assemblies. Is this true? The D2R bulbs can be slightly modified to fit in 06 headlights,but will the light output be the same as D2S? Thanks for reply.

 

They looked exactly the same to me. Don't know why you would need to swap them into 06' assemblies tho, since the 06' assemblies come with new ballasts.

 

Thanks for input. If the old ballasts fit the 06 headlights, I would just order a set of assembly to save my money. But not only one person told me that if the headlights do not come with ballast,they will not come with any wiring. Too many rumors make me stuck.

 

ok the one from ebay (infinitispecialist) comes with ballests. if not. you can use your 05-03 ballests... but would not recommend using d2r bulbs which are in your 05-03 headlights. i would go with d2s(projector bulbs). light output is decreased from d2r bulbs in a projector housing. any more questions just ask

 

I don't see how it's possible for it to not come with any wiring. It's practically integrated into the assemblies themselves.

The local dealer told me the assemblies don't come with ballasts for wiring. The dealer I actually got it from, assured me it came with everything. These two dealers gave me the same part number for the assemblies, and even quoted me the same price.

When I got the package, it looked to be wrapped by the factory at Nissan, as the box said Nissan all over it, and it was all sealed up with OEM looking packaging tape.

The local dealer admitted that they've never ordered the 06' lights before. In fact, they haven't even received any 06' coupes yet

It wouldn't surprise me, if all the people saying they don't come with anything, haven't actually ordered/seen them yet.
