--> HELP!! Question : Dual projector project
I just have a few questions about how to get things working properly before i install the headlights.
1) How do you wire the headlights to have the Fog Lights stay on when i have turn on the high beams?
2) What should i use to screw the ballasts into the housing? Because iam trying to make sure the original housing can take the stress of bumpy roads and not have it break off.
3) Projector mounting. Is there a special way to mount the actual projector to the OEM housting?

These are all great questions.
1. you must have a harness for the h4 or what not.
2. i don't know the answer to this but u might want to find out how the oem ballast is screwed on and take that route.
3. jb weld it on there and then screw in another(double security)

1) How do you wire the headlights to have the Fog Lights stay on when i have turn on the high beams?
I'm not good at electronics, but I think the basic idea is that you need to run a diode from the high beam + to the low beam +. So when low is on, only low gets activated. When high is on, the power goes to both the high and low.
A harness will ultimately be better because you'll offload the load from your stock wiring. This will be more important if you're trying to power up 4 HIDs at once.

Are you talking about the stock ballast? Why not the stock position? If you're talking about an extra ballast for the fog/high beam area, you can secure it like how I did on mine (to the back of the fog section).
3) Projector mounting. Is there a special way to mount the actual projector to the OEM housting?
Not really. What I do now is drill holes into the metal OEM bracket, then run M4 bolts from the projectors to the metal bracket. I use 3 bolts. 2 of them on the same level to mostly secure the projector and for horizontal aiming. The 3rd is used to adjust the vertical aim.
I don't use much JB Weld. I only use it to secure the shrouds.

My Current Dual Projector Retro fit is:
Low (top) is now = Bi-Xenon m3
Fog (bottom) is now = Regular Projector
Under OEM codition when you turn on High beams the FOG (bottom) lights up for highbeam, correct?
My question is:
Is it possible to make my fog (bottom) which is a regular projector light up as high beam, all while still utlilizing my low (top driving) which are bi-xenon to light up as high beam as well. Meaning that both to top (bi-xenon) and bottom (regular projector) both light up when i turn on high beam?... or is that impossible?... I"m just curious. How would I go about wiring so that it'll work that way? Thanks.
If not,
how do I wire tap my current set up such as which color connections do i need to match up with what and so forth to utilize my current set up. so that low top (bi-xenon) turns on for driving lights.. and when i flip on fog light the bottom (regular projector) to turn on while top driving lights still on. Thanks
I aprreciate all your help. =)
p.s. - if you need pictures of the wiring harness i can get it, so that you can tell me which wires to tap (If necessary)

I think you're doing:
low beam: E46 bixenon in low beam mode
fog beam: halogen projector in bottom
high beam: E46 bixenon switches to high beam mode
??
You could just route the + from the high beam wiring harness to the + of the E46 bixenon. However, the older E46 bixenon had 3 wires coming out of the solenoid, and apparently they were really difficult to wire up. People had to wire in and solder capacitors, resistors, etc. I stayed clear away from 3 wire solenoids. I went with TLs for my own retrofit, and have a pair of RS6 bixenons sitting around, possibly going into another retrofit.
Keep in mind, if you don't want the fog to turn off with the high beam, then you need the diode. But then your fog will ALWAYS light up when you turn on the high beams, no picking and choosing on that.

How did you clear out the orange turn signal inside our housing?.. did you have to break the oragne circle? what did you use to replace it with?...
here's a pic:

You have to dremel out the orange. It's all one piece of plastic, just some parts of it are chrome, the others orange.
Then replace with clear material/reflector of your choice. I used overhead light acrylic panes from Home Depot. It's only $7 for a big sheet.

In my current set up with dual projectors in each housing.
does everything run on 12volts?
How do I go about wiring and connecting everything .. what color does what? and what color matches with what.?
I need a wiring diagram. to wiring 2 ballast to 2 projetors. converter that h4 to one of the ballast for HID projectors, so that it'll work
HELP.

Pretty much. Maybe 13 or 14V when the car is running and the alternator is going.

You'll have to show us a picture of your wires. Otherwise I'd be guessing for this....

Well, since the car comes with HIDs, you're already halfway there with the wiring. Just use the stock wiring for the low beam.
For the high beam, the stock H4 connector has three prongs. Black is ground. The one on top (I think it's the yellow one) is low beam + (or fog +).
The one across from the ground (red) is + for high beam. You'll want that one going to the solenoid +.
HELP.
check out hidforum as well.
