Need help about bulbs and 06 headlights

I just order a set of MTEC H1 4X bulbs. The output is 100W that is much higher and produce much more heat than OEM bulbs when working. H1 is smaller bulb than H4. I initially thought they will also produce less heat than H4 does. Will this damage my 06 headlight? By the way, for H1 bulbs, there are two plugs in same size but different colors, one light yellow, and other one is black.Which plug is the correct one to connect H1 bulbs? Thanks for input.

I'd be concerned about the 100W bulbs for two reasons.

One, you don't want to melt your stock wiring harness, it can be a real pain if you have the car's electrical wiring messed up due to a bulb. The stock wires approx. 16ga, they may not be able to handle much more than stock.

Second, the 2005 and earlier headlights had problems with the bezel cracking from heat in the fog/high beam section. I'm sure that the 100W bulb will be even hotter. If you use your fogs often, you could crack your 06 bezel inside.

Did you get the high ouput 100W or one of those Hyperwhite bulbs, cuz if its the latter, lot of time they will claim "55w=100w". Check your bulbs again and see if its actually 100W or regular 55w equivalent 100w output.
