You've already answered your own question. If you've removed the front shield on your fog/high beam, then you're shooting light everywhere.

Light needs to be controlled. If it's not controlled, you end up having light everywhere, instead of where you want it.

Where you want the light is on the ground in front of your car.

Where you don't want light is going up into people's eyes.

You've admitted yourself that this isn't helping you see any better, so is the point to just **** people off? I could drive around with my TL bixenons in high beam mode the entire time to accomplish the same thing.

I assume that you know if you were involved in a car accident at night, the other party will likely claim that your lights blinded them, and you'll pretty much lose in court, even if they clearly were at fault, their lawyer would just have to show your lights to the judge.

I also fail to see how it's rice... it doesnt HINDER on my performance.. it makes me more visible to others.. and as a result, is efficient.. I still see the road well, and when I turn my fogs, I see better than when I did with my originals.. so how is it rice?
but then again... that word is being thrown around so much lately that it's lost all meaning...

it IS rice because it DOES hinder performance. You're throwing light everywhere and you're blinding everyone. Ignorant idiots like you should not be driving a G35, but more like a Civic with an HID kit.

it's not necessarily ricey, but what's your real point for putting these bulbs in? you clearly said it yoourself, to annoy people. that seems like you're just asking for trouble.

like chilibowl said, there are all those cars without stock HIDs that have added aftermarket HID kits in them and they produce way too much glare on the road. i was one of them. when i drove an accord, i had aftermarket HIDs and it caused way too much glare. i took them out and retrofit projectors in there to make the beam pattern i wanted.

i guess you're not like the rest of us who are annoyed by other motorists whose headlights shine in our eyes. but like i said, nobody can make a decision for you. if you like you like it. and we're not a board of "haters," it's called being opinionated.

well when someone makes a comment like urs, it's called an opinion
but when someone hopes u get into an accident becuz of ur choice of HIDs.. I call that hating

the highbeams are to annoy people
and when do u flash ur highbeams? to get people to move out of ur way
I changed my headlights because no one would move when I flashed my beams at them, even when I honked...
they insisted staying infront of me
with these new HIDs, they do as they are told and they move out of my way
I'm thinking of changing my lowbeams back to original cuz it's not lighting up well for me
but my fogs/highs are def staying cuz they add the lighting up that I needed/wanted

R.I.C.E. = Really Ignorant Car Enthusiast

Upgrading your low beams and foglights is a great idea. I did the same, and have dual HIDs. When I look at that picture, it just looks like a horrible job! It looks like you modified your H4 HIDs and took out the little cap, so bascially, you're running with high beams... and it actually looks worse! Its a job that was done wrong... oohhh so wrong! You annoy others you drive behind, light output on the ground is nothing to how it should be.

well said, i just think its absolutely pointless...but i like the idea of retrofitting diff style of headlights...i.e angel eyes, demon eyes, but keep the kelvins around close to the stock bulb power.

Here is my thread on my dual HIDs with plenty of pictures.
https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...ght=Silverbolt

Here is a picture of the light pattern. Its exactly the same as the stock light pattern, but the fogs are brighter since they're HIDs.

Here is the light pattern of the stock setup before I changed anything out. Its pretty much the same, and I have little if no extra stray light/glare

It looks like crap, isn't very functional, and may cause an accident. That makes you TACKY and a JACKASS.

So you like causing unsafe driving conditions? Pissing people off? You're a tool you know that...no class what so ever.
