i have a 04 coupe if i upgrade the headlights will the turn signels come on when you turn the lights on like the 03-05 or will it be like the 06 and only turn on when you use it to turn?

They will only turn on when signaling..

 

when you turn on just the parking lights... instead of your '04 that the amber bulb will come on the '06 will have a halogen bulb where the fog light is. only amber you'll see is when you signal.

 

i haven't looked at the difference between the headlights, but i think it should stay on because you're just changing the housing, not the wiring. Again, i haven't looked at headlights before, so i'm not sure completely. just my 2 cents...

they only turn on when you hit the turn signal. the wiring on the car is the same, BUT the wiring on the 06 projector housings is what makes it this way...

 

Negative... the 06 uses a single filament 7440 bulb. I bet if you stick a 7443 dual filament bulb in the 06, it will light up when you turn on your lights. look at the connector. it is the same as the 03-05.

 

i knew about the single filament, but I didnt know if we stuck a dual filament 7440 bulb, it'll work...

 

It won't because the 06 only has two wires coming off the connector instead of 3. It's an easy mod if you want the turn signals to stay on constantly like the older models.

i got my old 05 wires...

 

just get a dual filament socket with the 3 wires. then wire it however you want it.
