After looking on ebay, I see that there's a lot of projector fog lights for the e46 m3. I looked on one of the M3 forums and found one guy who bought a set and he said they were a really good piece. They sell them in chrome and black. The chrome ones looked pretty good on the bimmer. I wonder how the projector fogs would look on our cars. They are much cheaper than the factory set.

BRILLANT use of the existing mesh for support for your new foglamp housings. The trim around them DOES make it look OEM. One of the best fog mods I've seen on the Coupe. Well done my friend!

It gives me hope that I'll be able to pull off my own foglamp mod this year as cleanly as this—that is, once I find just the right lamps...I've been looking at OEM lamps that other auto mfgs have that might work well with our bumper inlets...I want a shape that more closely conforms to the curvatures of the spaces in one way or another!

Judging by where the fogs are mounted, its not in front of where a CAI filter sits. It wont effect any airflow to the filter. It might, however, effect airflow to the radiator.... but very very little difference.

where did he put the ballasts? With the fogs that close to the ground I would worry about the ballasts getting wet depending where they are. My ballasts only had about 1 1/2 ft of wire to work with.

On the BMW's, the fogs are further to the sides of the bumper than the where its mounted on the G35. Are the actual foglights pointed inward?... or are they perfectly strait forward and parallel to each other?

Heres another example. From above, the bezen is very slanted on this projector version. So if the surface were to sit flush, the fogs would be pointed inward... unless the bezel and fogs can be adjusted horizontally.

So they're sorta "cross eyed". It probably doesnt make that much of a difference with your reflector style foglights. But if someone were to buy the projector version, it might not shine as evenly. The projectors might spotlight and cross beams.

I am thinking to do the same thing but with the Hella Micro DE Fogs... but this E43 fogs seems pretty good especially with the projector seems like its the same/similar stuff as the hella one and its cheaper too... do you have more details on how to mount this thing??
