Stupid question but what is "BI-XENON" exactly?

I was just toying w/ my hi-beams while my car was off and I heard a CLANK sound like a mechanism opening up... however since I was the only one I couldnt' examine from the front (I was from the side of the car)

What does Bi-Xenon mean does it have to do w/ the hi-beams?

bi-xenon = HID/Xenon low beam and HID/Xenon high beam vs single xenon = HID/Xenon low beam and halogen high beam

Awesome, makes perfect sense =) So what is the clanking sound I hear? Just a bigger opening of the projector?

Thats the solenoid you hear

Bi-xenon. You have one bulb, it emits light constantly. There is a flap in your projector that is moved by a solenoid. A solenoid is an electro-magnet that when energizes, moves. So, you flip to Hi-beams, electricity goes to the solenoid, which moves a flap in the projector to allow light to be sent out of the projector at a higher angle, thereby blinding everyone within 10 square miles....
