Hey all,

I'm new to the g35 scene. Actually looking to get a G35c soon. Prob end up gettin a 03/04 model.

I've done headlight mods befor..mostly to BMWs but I'm not to clear on whats goin on with the G headlights too much. So i have a couple of questions.

1) Whats the difference between pre 06 and 06 headlights? Just the projector?
2) is the projector that much better than the previous?
3) whats with that line on the side of the headlights? is it empty? I've see alot of people put in 12" CCFLs in there.
4) are the foglights built into the headlight?
5) is it ieasy to bake them open? does the glue melt readily?

1) Pre-06 are Xenon, but no projector...'06 are projector. They are also missing the "clearance strip" and are a lot cleaner looking, IMO.

3) "Clearance strip", it comes with a light bulb inside.

Also since Yungwunn911 has already asked. Does anyone have a D.I.Y on taking the 06 headlamps apart?

 

why would you want to the 06 headlamp apart? are you gonna change the lense?

 

No not at all, but I want to black out the chrome on the inside housing and I don't want to break anything. Noticed that it's a little bit different then the 04 headlamps.
