Just used generic silicone sealant. New owner got the taillights already.

 

I don't understand. isn't the only thing having to be modded is the wires that make the one circle light up accordingly be split and wired to the second circle?

 

Modifying lights are never that simple.

 

atleast no one would want to assume when they're being charged 1k for stock lights with different wiring schemes....

 

No it's not that easy. The outer light on the g35 is a halogen bulb. Not an led. Therefore you must buy a new ring, fabricate yourself a place to put it in the tail light, re wire and re circuit the while back of the lights..... There are a lot of things that go into these tail lights. Hence the 1k plus price tags on them. Only a handful of people know how to do the mod, and only a few that I know of actually have the tail lights. Me being one and mine are for sale.

 

ahhhh, now I get it, I assumed the outter circle already had the led ring , my bad, wasn't trying to bash or anything. just confused lol.

Does the JDM tails already have the led outter ring?

 

Nope, just orange reflector instead of red..
