Akebono BBK on an M35X

I am considering trading my 2007 G35 on an M35X. I have seen where some have added the Akebono from the G35S on the M35/M45 Sport, needing only to trim the dust shiled and use a spacer. Can this kit be added to the M35X with 18" wheels? The G35 Sport which came with the Akebono had 18" wheels I believe. Will the kit work with the M35X with 18's? Are the M35X and G35S 18" wheels the same offset? What ofest would be needed to clear if 18" wheels are used? If 19's are used? If not I may have to get some aftermarket 19's such as the Five Axis, but would like to avoid that cost and also the 18's offer a little more protection from potholes. Thanks for any experience or suggestions.

I don't know much about the M, but if i were to guess, your going to at least need a G37 sport 18' wheel to clear the calipers. I know that much for sure on the G. If you get an M and if your local, i'll let you test fit it on my car.

decisions decisions

Thanks for the offer, but I am in Nashville.

I notice that the G37XS with the eighteen inch wheels does not have the Akebono, so perhaps the offset of the non-staggered 18" G35X wheel won't accommodate the BBK. Otherwise I would have thought Infiniti would have included the BBK on the XS package. As with the G35X, I don't think it is best to attempt a staggered wheel arrangement on the M35X. So I would think to make the BBK kit work on the M (or G35X for that matter) you would have to use a wheel the same width and offset as the rear wheel used on the G35/7s on both the front and rear of the M35X. But I don't know if there would be sufficient clearance as far as tire movement within the wheel well, and if there might be potential stress of an improper offset on the front suspension. I also have concerns that any deviation from the stock offset might tend to make tramlining issues more pronounced. :

Or another approach still would be to get an FX35 Sport with larger wheels/brakes to begin with and just lower it with Eibachs.

Decisions, decisions.

my 06 M45 with them +32 in fronts on 20s is required to clear. 19s not sure and 18s just seems too tight
