http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc..._28_135mm.html

Overview:
Standard zoom lens with an Image Stabilizer and high zoom ratio. With the Image Stabilizer turned on, you can obtain sharp, natural-looking pictures in dim lighting without using flash or a tripod. Very handy for places where flash is prohibited. Uses ring-type USM for swift, silent autofocus and full-time manual focus. Closest focusing distance is 20 in. (50cm).

*Pictures are of the actual lens for sale - not some random pictures picked up off the internet.

That's pretty good for a ghetto lightbox. Bump for a poor college kid.

oh yeah does that mean you can interchange brands? sorry new to the photography stuff

This is an excellent lens that offers a great range. That price is $200 less than what I paid for mine, so it is definitely a deal that should not be passed by.

It's a good walk around lens, but it doesn't have a considerably far reach. Depending on how far you are away, this lens can do the job or it can't.

Also, if you are shooting in low light conditions, then I would not suggest this lens. For low light shooting you will need to invest a little (okay, a lot) more money for a faster lens. I'm getting a 70-200 2.8 IS, which is considerably more expensive ($1700) but is much faster. However, it's size and weight are its downfalls.

This lens is compatible with Canon DSLRs (350D/400D/450D, 10D-40D).

Thanks.
Thanks for the info, I'll give it some thought before I decide. If anything, it does have a longer reach than the standard nikon lens I have right?

Yes, it does. But if you have a Nikon...then this lens isn't going to work for you.

It does have longer reach than the standard kit lens (18-55) on a Nikon, but you can't use a Canon brand lens on a Nikon.
