I made some new flares to replace the universal eye sores I previously had. These are quite a bit wider than what I had before. Also lowered another 1/2inch, can barely fit the toes of my shoes under the front lip now. These are the only two photos so far, keeping it low key until this weekends show.
Will be fine tuning the flares fitment this winter, as well as making new front splitter, and functional rear diffuser. Tossing around the idea of side splitters, but unsure on those. Once those done we will see if I will paint the flares to match or if the black will look good with everything else. Will also be ordering some new custom offset Works to fit these without spacers.
Welp... Monday night wasn't fun... lost the rear in some rain at ~70mph. Hit the ditch sideways, spun twice in the ditch and came to a stop in some 4 wheeler ruts. There were two sets of 4wheeler tracks through this ditch and both were super deep, if it weren't for those ruts I might have been fine minus small things needing fixing, but those ruts did some damage.
From just looking it over quick at home front end took the most, core spt gone, bumper, splitter, skid plate all toast. Intercooler and some piping toast. Ripped my wastegate dump pipe clean off at the flex joint, and a few dings in the exhaust. Side skirts and rear bumper damage but should be repairable. Skid plate did its job and my GT Spec lower brace protected he motor. Overall not as bad as I was expecting, pretty sure they wont total it but wont know until later today.
wow that sucks, you just had everything finally set and done. Hope you don't part and sell
I doubt its totaled, in all honesty I could have fixed everything myself, but I have no way to check and make sure suspension and such is bent, so might as well have a shop do it all. The place its at is one of the top in the state shes in good hands.
^ Man, sorry to hear the bad news....best of luck getting everything put back in place. Ride was very cool and it looks like you put a lot of time and effort into the build. Best of luck man...
2one8, sorry to hear about your accident but, I hope this doesn't deter you from rebuilding your coupe. JZ39 is correct. Our cars are more beautiful than most of the new cars on the road today and most likely tomorrow (in the future). It's also a beautiful canvas in which to build and when done right is a force to be reconned with. I'll never get rid mine, it's too much fun to drive and every mod I install makes it look, run, sound, and perform that much better. My only problem is meeting guys that share my enthusiasm about our cars.

I'm rebuilding, but I'm making some changes while I'm at it. Going to go tubular core support to open up some room up front, functional rear diffuser different wheels, rebuild suspension (and possible cup kit), bigger turbo, different headers, might swap in some more aggressive cams if I get ambitious enough. Once it back on the road over the next couple years I might start sourcing everything I need for an LS swap, and then fab the VQ into my Datsun 620 that needs a motor. Right now I'm doing some work on my garage before it get too cold, welding table, more work benches, more shelving so I can better utilize space, and then I'll start tearing into the car.
