youll want them if you plan to adjust them often. with mine, it was a set it and forget it. i found what i liked and havent touched them since install
with mine, its even a little bit of a pain to adjust the extensions because they are at quite an angle. the only way to adjust them without the extension is to basically remove the coil
A preview of my project that I started with my friend, Gabe, today. Everything should be done by tomorrow, we ran out of sunlight and the temperature dropped so the dye kind of stopped sticking.
I dropped off my headliner at Gabe's Grandpa's shop to get re-upholstered which should be ready by tomorrow. I didn't want to dye it since I still wanted to keep the headliner soft, almost like OEM but black.
Time wise, tearing apart the whole headliner took about an hour and a half, since part of it was trial and error and we didn't know how to take some clips and stuff out. I think I only broke one clip out of the whole ordeal.

Project completed today. And yes, I am fully aware that the front driver's and passenger's seat belt housings are still the OEM tan color. I wanted to keep them that way.
In all, this project was pretty easy to do. I should have done this a lot sooner. I'm going to go in and re-do the a-pillars and the vanity mirror bases. Originally, they are dyed and though the color looks really good, it is a bit more rough (in texture) then I would like it to be. So I'll be taking those back out in a week or so and taking it back to my friend's Grandpa's shop to have him wrap or re-upholster them with the same material as the headliner, so they stay soft.
Anyways, onto the finished pictures. Hope everyone is as pleased with the outcome as I am.

hey son,
have you tried brushing the pieces that came out rough? i used dye on my front pillars and they were a little "hard" feeling after. i just took a stiff bristle brush to them and they got soft again.

The product is some crazy bs that Gabe mixed together. I don't know what it is exactly, it is a combination of a lot of stuff to make sure it sticks properly.
The headliner isn't wrapped. His grandpa removed the old tan headliner and completely re-upholstered the actual headliner board.
No Eric, I haven't tried that. I'll give it a shot tonight with one of my a-pillars. When you say "stiff" brush, do you just mean like a regular hard brush or a metal brush / steel wool / jagged sword?

One thing I would suggest is wrapping your visors to cover up those warning labels. I also deleted my "oh ****" handles. Sooo much cleaner.
