I believe you need to use a heat gun to take it off.

I just took my moldings off my 04 coupe and they came off nicely but then I noticed little chips in the clear coat along the entire strip area underneath. I am going to try and buff them out but some feel pretty deep, may have gone down to the paint. I didn't use a heat gun, may have helped. If this doesn't work I may have to repaint! ARGHH!!

As far as fading under, it doesn't look bad, barely at all will go away with sun. My car is garage kept.

That's exactly what I don't want to happen and have to go thru...g/L with that...I will try to use a heat gun and post the outcome...thnx

Ill let you know when i can, i got like 3 in line right now , it takes me a while to do 1 just cause i do it in my spare time and lately i haven't have much of that!
