I just got my first G (2005 G35 6MT) in Sept. 07 and I love it! That's coming from a long time American muscle car fan. I'm so impressed with the VQ35 motors. This car pulls so nice from the factory! I did one small mod (Stillen CAI - air box & z-tube) and that's it. At least I can officially say that it has over 300 HP. A little more low-end torque would be nice but I'm not complaining. Oh, it just turned 15K miles!

with the new SAE standards we're only at 293, and even then thats only at the fly... WHp is what matter and we're no where near 300 stock.. anyway good choice on the color... just get some clean corners, a drop n a front lip ur car will look 10x better

Thanks, the color is what sold me. I was considering a 350Z until I found this.
Yeah, I figured that HP on the sticker was at the crank. I've always been a fan of the "sleeper" look so I lean toward more HP first. However, after plenty of searches on this forum, you don't seem to get the "bolt on" HP like you did with the old muscle cars. It appears that if you want a dramatic increase you need FI, which I'm seriously considering.

Well I did my second mod today...Topspeed Pro 1 exhaust from TalonTsi97.

This exhaust sounds great! I'm running it with the baffles right now...curious to hear what it sounds like without them. Here's a video that sold me on this exhaust.

Now check to see if Chip Foose has any good ideas for a JDM
