My '04 Black G Coupe
My '04 Black G Coupe
Just a few pics of my black 2004 G coupe...picked it up a couple months ago. I'm pretty sure the only thing the guy who had it before me did was tint the windows. After I bought it I threw on the the clear corners and dual JL Audio 10W3 subs in the trunk with a G1700 amp. I'm new to this whole G35 thing, so let me know what you think. More pics to come.
Looks good, the biggest and best thing you could do is get some bigger wheels and maybe drop it just a little. Just my opinion.
How does the system sound? I was thinking of getting one 12"....nothing too much....I love the sound of the exhaust too much.

yeah the wheels def gotta go, tryin to scramble some money for em. The subs sound awesome, but I agree, the exhaust sound is hella cool haha I gotta turn them down sometimes to appreciate the exhaust sound. It's a tradeoff...
I'm not sure if I've pushed the subs to even close to their limit yet, but they definitely put out more than enough bass for any kind of music. I don't have any Dynamat or anything like that and I have not detected any rattling or buzzing anywhere yet except from the license plate. I can only hear that standing outside the car, but even then it's not that noticeable. I didn't want an obnoxious system that someone could hear a mile away and this set up does the trick with the windows up. It's so loud inside sometimes, my friends think there's no way someone would not hear it outside. I was really surprised at how much of the sound stays inside. The guy who put them in said the output was pretty much the same as dual 12W1s, if there's any truth to that. I saw all the custom systems a lot of ppl have on here, definitely hella cool, but many of them come at the expense of losing the ability to put stuff from the trunk thru the folded down seats if needed. The box is pressure fit into the trunk so all I have to do is tug it a bit and slide it over to the side to get full use of the folded down seats. Anyway, going thru Soundcraft Audio in New London, CT, the dual 10s were actually less expensive than having the stealth box single 10 on the side.
