i think the only color i like the vents unpainted would be OB otherwise i like the fade idea for other colors.

 

The fade idea is GENIUS....so glad I found this thread, just ordered my hood and was really contemplating to paint or not to paint....my g is CB, should look sik

 

...how do these hoods stand up during the rain? i mean, isn't it like, not good for the engine? does the rain even get in? don't ream me for this, i honestly don't know anything about hood modifications. thanks,

 

^^ Most of these hoods should come with rain guards that prevent water from reaching the engine, but some people dont use their G as a daily driver, so for some it doesnt matter.

how are the hoods with water leak? i would worry about leak from rain, since it rains like 360 out of 365 a year here in portland

 

water gets in the engine bay with the TS hood when you are parked, not really an issue while moving - there is no rain guard like on the hikkata dori hood... Not a huge deal, but it does get in there, if you are that concerned about it, you could probably get something custom fabbed up

 

original Top Secret comes with rain guards. Here are pics of mine. Mine will be faded when i reshoot my car.
