you might want to think about going canon.. I know the XTI is lacking in build quality (plastic body) but will get you the image representation you're after and is very economical.. Plus it supports the EF-S lens mount (good glass, but again, plastic bodies).. If you're wanting a balance of budget yet don't want to compromise quality of image, then that's my suggestion.

Thanks! It was either between this or the panasonic HVX200A. I think I paid $5000 out the door. And since I was in in NY at the time, no CA taxes and free shipping!!!

So far I've made two short films and made a commercial for an air conditioning company with it. Visually, they came out stunning! I'm just trying to find the right material because eventually I wanted to sumbit to festivals. Plus the camera shoot in 24p!!
