I'm guessin almost 2G's a pop. However, even if I can afford it.. I would NEVER drop THAT much on rims.

They are actually cf wrapped. You maintain your structural integrity and strength. Mostly just for looks, no real weight savings.
Price isnt nearly as expensive as you think. I am not sure if I can post my quote for this setup but it was very reasonable.

thats much cheaper than i was thinking,i was expecting about 3k/wheel..ive seen many in that price range

 

They are not made of cf. They are a regular forged rim, wrapped in cf. Cuts down on cost alot.
