Why? I mean i get ragged on here for having Axis wheels, but when most people ask what kind they are and i tell them they aren't like.."well damn, they were cool, but now that i know they don't cost 4k they aren't cool anymore."

Im not defending Sevas and I totally admit their 1 piece wheel line is garbage but T6061 is just that, high quality aircraft aluminum.
Yes, 6061 is used in the aircraft industry..but not near as much as 2024 or 7075. One thing to think about is what specification was it made to? Also, the manufacturing/tempering process the wheels go through during production can have an affect on cracks/fatigue life. Don't think that just because it's made from 6061 that it won't crack or that it is superior.....you need to know the manufacturing process of the wheel.

Yeah, anyone can make forged wheels. Like these made in China wheels.

Maybe I should buy these in bulk and come up with my own company and say these wheels are assembled in America and charge 4k for a set. Get my on logo on the caps.

I'm Thinking. G-FORGED wheels. Anyone else have a better name for my new company? LMK.

We just know how to find a good deal and are not into wasting money. I got my brand new Iforged wheels made to order with two new tires for $2800 shipped.

Does anyone have any documentation on any other wheel besides the S22 and S55 breaking? Every time I see a sevas wheel posted people go crazy predicting immenant disaster and death.

It's a real question though...just wondering if there is any cases of anything other than the cast aluminum s22 and s55.

just because of the reputation.. the wheels are surely cool though as long as they hold up.
