Pic Request: 5% and 15% Tints on Black Coupe

I currently have 30% tints on my black coupe, but it's way too light during the day.

I wanted to see if anyone has pics of 15% all the way around (except front windshield). Same for 5%.

Preferably on a black/black coupe for comparison.

30%:

Check your area first to see what your legal tint percentage is. In GA, its 35%, so i got 30%. I think 30 is just enough, unless your a dope boy.

I have an IP and and just ripped my 5% off for inspection. Even if I didn't have to get it inspected I probably would have taken it off anyway. 5% is way to dark. At night its impossible to see out of. Its like looking at a black wall. Also it is a pain worrying about police all the time. I say keep the 30%. I will be getting mine 35% at the legal limit next time.

Well the thing is 30% is illegal here anyway.

1. Cops don't care
2. For inspection or if I do get pulled over, I have a doctor's waiver

So essentially I don't have any barriers. I just want what will look best on the car but still allow me to have decent visibility in the night.

do 5%, anything higher and you'll always see inside during the day and you're gonna wish u did limo, 15% is pretty much the same as 20%. You get used to seeing out of at night with 5%

Hey how do you get a doctors waiver? Could I get a waiver if I tell them that I use contacts or something like that?

Damn, the sedan is DARK

Yea I have 20% all around and its pushing my night vision when I get into unlighted neighborhoods anything darker where I live, and I'll be scraping cats out of the wheels nightly

Two ways:

1. Just straight up ask your optometrist. Some are nice enough to give you one.

2. I had a friend's dad give it to me. They can hold an MD in anything, so he just wrote retinitus (I think) for sensitivity to light.

I don't know if this works in CA. I'm in DE, so I just picked up a form at DMV (you can't print it because it has water-marks).

^i'd say 5%
on my DG coupe i have 5% in the back and 50% in the front.. 50% just doesn't cut it. it does make really rainy dark nights harder to parallel park, but w/e

btw it ALWAYS rains here.

I have 13% all around and I know this because I was pulled over recently and shown the tint meter. It's not too dark to be safe, but in FL it's too dark.
I had a car with 5% and it's too dark to be safe. I almost got killed pulling out in front of someone at night.

I ended up doing 20% all around on my DG and it looks perfect. On my last car I had 5% all around, but it was too hard to see at night. I also ended up getting 3 tint tickets, so I stuck with something lighter this time. I think your car looks good with 30% (I don't think I'd go any darker), but if you're looking for more I'd say do 15% or 20%.
