i did mine pretty much the same a few months ago, except i went with 32 led's in the clearance strip and instead of a clear plastic like yours I used a thin white plastic that diffused all the led dots blending them all together so it looks like one strip of light. Also a projector in the blinker with red led, had to put a voltage regulator for that one so it didnt hyperblink.

just wanted to share with with you since we got the same taste in headlights, lol, these are mine

Did they modify the electronics so that you have DRL that come on automatically or is the DRL same as the parking lights?

not sure what your meaning but the headlights act as a stock headlight you were to buy from the factory. The LED's only turn on whenever you turn on the DRL. other than that they look stock. on 06 headlights no lights are on until DRL are turned on. The only change is that the 06 DRL little bulb that is on with the DRL's is removed and just the LED's act as the DRL.

The Turn Signal is Amber LED's as well that change and not a bulb.
