Usually, a build thread with 7 pages would mean there are a lot of pics. I was sadly mistaken =[ Too much spam up in hurrrrrr

Changed the bulbs to 8000k. Took the door guards off, and just ordered my 350z sport lines.

Tough crowd lol. Not a fan of the HLs. Everything else looks clean. Good start. The door guards are still on though. Not sure what you took off?

Civics don't love Volks. They love the replica/fake Volks.

Also, unlike everybody else who dislikes your blue headlights. I think they are not colorful enough. You should go with 50k. I heard if you go high enough in temp, the light is actually a black color. Giving you the visibility you need.

Also, you need to drop the car about 500 inches. Give or take a few millimeters.

This wasn't the kind of build thread I anticipated. This is more like bringing a fugly base car up to acceptable status. 8000k is still rice, you should get some eBay halo headlights to complete your look with your upcoming tinted tails. Then put a lift kit on so you can be like those modded V6 trucks.. oh wait.. you're at stock height with 35 series tires.. you pretty much have achieved the lifted look lulz. Back on topic.. I noticed the drop in lumens when I switched to 6000k bulbs, i would NEVER go higher. Heck I've even contemplated going back to 4300k.

Build thread - stock car with the GAYEST looking lights I've ever seen. At least you took them off, I guess that's .4 of a step forward.

I just read this thread, and I feel bad for the OP but dude set himself for it.

My only question is earlier you said you made this "build" thread to start from the beginning, but what were you planning on building? Another set of oem wheels and some heatgun/goo gone work isn't building anything

Ps. The lights weren't really thaaaaat bad

i wanted to post a nice comment, but i still laughed pretty hard at this post~

hey man, i like your car, going with the rays is a good choice, spacers will flush it out...

i say to everyone his own when it comes to hid's, i used to be a hid nut, i bought a $400 kit back in 2003 for my toyota solara 6000k, i loved the bluish tint to it, but of course at the time i could never figure out why i couldn't see the road as clear as compared to my friend's acura
CL, then i joined the hidplanet forums, and learned all about color temperature and light output before i bought my acura tsx trust me, those people will get you for even having 5k in your headlights. for all cars that didn't even come with a projector hid option, we did retrofits, fitting the best hid projectors with oem 4300k bulbs and usually mod the glare shield to allow for more color at the projector cutoff.

it sounds like people are hating on you, but what they don't even know is they are really trying to protect you for possible accidents at night. 4300k is the range for natural sunlight, designed to keep you most aware of the road, reflections, and anything in your path, anything beyond 6000k will start to flood out a lot of that. it really is up to you, and instead of seeing it as hate, everyone just wants you to have a setup that is worthy of such a nice car, and also to keep you perfectly safe at night

now we all know why ricer's fiberglass bodykits are always cracked, cuz they can't see sh$t

happy motoring

Kevin (who would never get anything other than 4300k and is planning to swap out his oem's because the light temp goes up with usage)
