I recently got my car back from the Body Shop AUTO EXPLOSION from Gardena to get some work done so I decided to make a progression thread of my experience..

First of All, I would like to thank RANDY RIGGS, MARTY G, and DANH VO for helping me build my car to what it has become today..

I'd also like to thank Auto Explosion and Technosquare..

I have had my car since new. I bought my 2005 G35 Coupe 6MT Obsidian Black on Black in August 30, 2005 with everything but Navigation when there weren't really any on the market..

Within the first week I bought a Stillen TD exhaust, JWT pop charger, and spent over $7500 on my stereo alone. I have pictures in my garage of my stereo and stuff but some of the build pics are on old harddrives and I cannot get them..

After all that was installed within the first month I didn't touch my car for almost 4 years..

Fast Forward to 2009 and I started modding again. Found out that my car might have the Oil consumption issue so I had it tested and 6 weeks later I got a new long block..

This motivated me to keep the car and keep modding.. again.. i have pics and a list of most my mods in my profiles garage so i wont bore you with the details..

At the end of 2011 I met Randy Riggs and Marty G when I decided to have them help me source out the spots to polish my titanium ARC strut bar and Radiator Cooling Plate.. These guys are great guys and have become great friends.. That's when the mod bug really hit me...

I decided to get a wiretuck by RRYDES and the rest is history... I am currently on the car team RRYDES and they are a chill group of people, who are now my close friends, that share the same passion as myself, modding cars.. I have been modding cars since 1988 but never this crazy..

I always wanted to get a different trunk for my ride. I really wanted the Hikkatadori Trunk but heard some people have had issues.. Then I really wanted a Strafe Trunk.. I really like the trunk. It's a clean trunk and I had a Carbon Fiber one in my hand and the money to pay but decided against it for some reason..

So I decided to get a custom trunk done exactly how i wanted it.. If I got the trunk done I figured I might as well get my dent in my door fixed.. then I would have to blend the fender.. Well.. I might as well get the hood repainted since it has rock chips over the years.. and while I am at it, get the front bumper painted since it has its share of chips as well..

Which leaves me to where I am today..

I took my car to AUTO EXPLOSION AUTO BODY

I got a quote to repaint the car Obsidian Black and a quote to do a color change..

I went with the color change...

I have had the best experience with Auto Explosion I can't tell you guys enough. I recommend them to anyone that wants anything to do with paint and/or custom work done to their G35 or any car that they have...

Everybody's taste is different and this is my take on what I think the G should look like. I know I will get haters and it's all good.. I won't get upset when people criticize cuz like i said, " Different strokes for Different folks "... My car....

So I won't bore you anymore with this story and I'll just get straight to the pics.

FAR from it.. But thanks man... Still have to let the paint cure to install my ARC titanium bling and some moar stuffs coming.!!! Stay tuned...

Wow Alf!! New color and mods look sick! I see that you had relocated a few lines and got the alternator housing and ps pump polished. Very Nice!!
