Went to PSI today... (this is my racing shop)... I sat down with the tuner. We have been stuck with the ECU for about a month. It communicates with the scan tool but not the uprev tool. It loads then gets to a point and says CAN ERROR then locks the system and your done... Out of the system..... So they ordered a different ECU and were going to wire that one in.... Well they work on many cars and had a Twin Turbo G37 that the owner accidentally fried something in the ECU and they had to get a different ECU and patch it in. He went to DEQ and the Vin number is locked into the ECU so he failed the DEQ because the OBD2 and the Vin on the car didnt match so they didnt want to patch in my new ECU for this reason. While we were talking I said the car was a 2003. The tuner looked at me and said repeat that. I said the car is a 2003.5-2004.... He said the CAN pins need to be re routed on those cars and the Nissan Sentras and that was the issue... EASY SOLUTION!!!!! Hope thats it if so should be TUNED THIS WEEK!!!!!

Was a HUGE RELIEF... You move Pin 3 to Pin 14.... Something like that. I understand why it has to happen... Just sucks that it didnt come up until now. I hope that the tuning process happens smoothly and nothing comes up..... We will see how it all pans out.

I am hoping it is finished by April 27th as NissanFest is that day... I doubt my car is NEAR Show Quality enough to take any awards but I think it will be fun! I dont think my interior will be at ALL close to done. I may have the dash in gauge pillar in headliner in speedo in and the stereo in but nothing else... We shall see. I didnt even think I would go to NisanFest so I thought my first show was in May O well!!!!!!!

 

I got a little update for all of you!!!! Car is FINALLY funning. They need to fix a exhaust leak and weld in the gauge hoses and its GOOD TO GO. I may have them build me some fender liners as mine no longer really fit anywhere...

I NEED HELP DECIDING MY TRUNK SETUP

Okay, I have a question on my trunk setup.
I am learning how to hand lay REAL carbon fiber... I am going to start on my trunk... SO here is my idea I have 2 kinds of carbon fiber.... My trunk looks like the picture below...
1 I am thinking of wrapping the carpet piece (not the sub part) in the Regular Carbon Fiber. Then the Subs in suede... All side pieces in Suede...
OR
2 DARK EXPRESSO Wood. With the part touching the sups be a Gold Carbon Weave
THE TRIM PIECE IN THE CAR WHERE THE LATCH GOES IN IS REGULAR CARBON FIBER......
So 1 OR 2 ?????????
