Appreciate it. I always wanted to see what white tail lights would look like..

I ended up just using paint to see what black would look like(some overlay that I wanted to try)


Not sure how it would look with my new HDR trunk coming in though.

 

yeah IMO body color is definitely the only way to go if you must do GTR lights but honestly I would just leave em alone.

 

IMO body color is just TOO much, you need more color to contrast. I think what you did with MicroPaint is good, wouldn't put overlays on my car (because I own a black obsidian haha)...but otherwise would look nice with your pearl coupe

 

06-07 tails > any GTR overlay or body colored wrap

 

I prefer the oem look to the overlays

 

There are a lot of haters when it comes to taillight overlays prob because there are so many bad examples on the net.
Personally I think it can look good if done right.
I think you could pull it off if you don't go too dark since you already have the black & white theme going on.
I had a shop do my GTR overlays in SoCal with light vinyl tint and I like it.
If I had gone with dark tint it may have turned out ricey, but DG is a more forgiving color too.
You should check out some websites' galleries that have done white cars.

 

Now I just wish I had 06-07 taillights or JDM ones.

Got a pic of them installed? Just bought a IP G35 and starting to do alittle customizing. Or might just tint them slightly

 

no dont do it. go get 06-07 tails or jdm tails. i dont regret my purchase even though it was pricy.
