That's a good question, gotta say congrats on the long ownership with high miles that seems successful, it's inspiring for sure!

You'll be fine. Might want to get your car tuned after getting it though.

Adding a spacer has been for our members the "Best Bang for your Buck" since day one! Mileage doesn't matter, spacer corrects a Nissan design flaw and yes it will increase whp. Follow the install instructions carefully, enjoy the results!

Appreciate the info. What flaw is the spacer actually fixing?

McDonals Straw vs BK straw for example. Which makes you fatter, quicker?

It's just allowing more free flow air. OEM intakes (from the plenum down) are a bit restrictive.

Well i finally got the installation done of the 5/16 plenum spacer from a buddy of mine who did the install and i have several concerns about it right after the installation i had rough idle and a engine code of low oil i did a fresh oil change with filter redid the override for throttle, ecu, and pedal adjustments which fixed the rough idle but my check engine light came on. Does anyone have an idea of what can cause this and how it can be fixed?

You put it together wrong or forgot to add the vacuum hoses back on.

We put together just as the md instructions said and after the throttle, ecu, and the pedal override it ran fine and now my engine light stays on

It either was installed wrong or is totally unrelated to this install.
