IF you cannot afford to do it right, don't do it at all.

Look, with dip you must use a gun. No cans on cars. Cans look like crap. Also, the g35 coupe looks terrible in a matte black. Don't do it. Not many cars really look good matte black. Maybe Lambos do but that's because of how many edges they have. Your car is very rounded and matte black looks terrible on it. My personal opinion. My car might have come out good, but know it was not my first time painting a car. Fit his is your first time know there will be mistakes. Things will go wrong. There are a few inconsistencies in my paint. I can tell no one else can though. I'm one of the few that doesn't mind dip here. I use it over vinyl, because vinyl wrapping my car will cost about 2k. Where dip costs me 100-250 depending on the color and difficulty to do. Then the 2-6 hours to paint.

Nahh I'm not gonna anymore but I was gonna do the gloss coat over the new pearly tinted black which ends up very close to OEM OB according to local shops that do dips. I hate matte black would never go their. I woulda used the gun Forsure, wouldn't go anywhere near rattle cans. I've painted separate body parts but never a whole car. But kudos on ur G it's very unique and not something u see everyday.

I completely agree. Some people Try and do vinyl themselves.... Guess how the results look??? There are some things you MUST pay for and vinyl is one of them. Tint is another. I like painting my car. Like I said its a good DIY. There are not many fast DIY left for me on my car. Everything that I want to change takes me HOURS just to remove the part and even longer on the install, then if I touch anything "fun" I have to get a new tune on the car. Dip is really all I have left to do haha. That is probably why I 1. Dont mind it when done right. 2. Have not painted my car. 3. Will continue to dip my car.
