JOKER-

Those are awesome looking pictures. I had a question for you. On one of your pictures I noticed that you removed the emblems in the back but kept the Infiniti ensignia. Was it difficult to remove and is it easy to buff out the imprint of the letters once they are removed? Any advice would be greatly appreciated or a DIY

Very easy.

I did it during the summer so weather was hot and car was warm. If you gonna do it in the cold weather might want to use a heat gun or hair drier and just warm them up a bit.

So I just twisted them off. Some people use fishing line and cut them off that way, some use floss string.

Once I got them off I used MF towel to get the glue off. Once again if you are doing it in the cold weather might want to use the heat gun or hair drier.

Then just slowly collect the glue on the MF towel. Move towel towards the area that has glue instead of the fresh paint. That way you don't scratch the paint.

If you do end up scratching the paint use Meguiars Xscratch. Works like a magic.

Not to get off topic, but do tint shops have a way to tell what % you are at? Some sort of guage they can use to measure it?? Mine had some on it when I got it, and the rear window is perfect, blocks enough light during the day but you can still see through it at night. I just want to think about changing the tint on the sides, but need to know what I have first.

edit: BTW Joker, I've always loved that second pic.

Thanks JOKER. I read on here about using fishing line or dental floss to remove the emblems, but my only concern is when the letters are removed...how much of an imprint does it leave? Do you really need to buff the heck out of it so that you don't see where the letters used to be? I've got a diamond graphite color and was wondering if that would show up more than your white.

I have 20%. I think its the best because of my light charcoal interior. If I had a black interior, I probably would of gone with 35%.

I took mine off when car was fairly new.

If you drove for a while with them on then you might need to clay bar the trunk (and the rest of the car would not hurt) and maybe polish it out just a bit.

It's more visible on the darker colors.

Tint Q

I had this very same question. I just bought an 07 IP G35 Coupe and I need to get it tinted... debating between the 20% from other posts and a 35%... tough decision... I have a tan interior so im thinking maybe 20% might be much. Anyone else have pics of a 35% IP g35 coupe?

If you have a tan interior, i recommend 20% because it won't look as dark with the tan interior. I've had cars with black and tan interior with 15% and the car with black interior looked way darker, almost like two different % tints...just my opinion though.

I just got 18% Carbon. Its dark but the light interior doesnt make it as dark as the dark interior would make it. Overall super happy. Ill take pics when its actually nice out here in Seattle.
