Big thanks to Vodkarocket for hooking me up. The way you packed everything, Fedex would've had to drop a pallet on the box to damage it. Can't wait for the other goodies.

BTW, doing the install for the first time was a b!tch. I must have called Boris at least five times for tips. These cars have too many hidden clips and screws. I've taken it apart a couple of more times for adjustments, and did it in half hour.

 

someone told me that running 30 series tires will damage the aftermarket rims, and damage the axles especially if you live in a not so clean smooth paved streets...is this tru? and how long will it usually hold out b4 the axle break?

Axle break?????? I've never heard of that. I've been riding on 20", 30 series in the rear and hit a pothole occasionally and my car and wheels are solid.

 

I meant the complete sets...not the rubber...that's still insane though IMO! (but I guess if you've mastered it to only 15 minutes, then I guess it isn't that bad). Why the need to keep your rims dry if you don't mind me asking? Obviously less cleaning of the wheel is required....

These are not the easiest wheels to clean...so, 15 minutes to swap them out equals about 45 minutes saved on cleaning them up later

I can't believe it's such an odd thing to you to swap wheels out Guess I'm just use to working on my cars.

 

Yes, less tire means your rims are closer to the contact surface so there is more potential for you rims to get damaged. As far as axles breaking, maybe if you are doing 80 and hit a significantly large pot hole but like Chico said, I've never heard of that happening.

It's too late for you anyways, you ride looks pimp as is. You can't change it now

 

I prefer to swap out the car on a rainy day, but if I can't, I also take off my aftermarket wheels when driving in the rain. Better safe than sorry... Unfortunately, my backup wheels are going to have R-compounds on them so I've gotta get creative or buy another set.
