Enkei RPO-3 on 6MT sedan
Hey there, long-time lurker, first-time poster. How are ya?
I called up the Tirerack a few months back, ready to order me a set of Enkei RPO-3s with the SBC finish, in 19s naturally. And staggered. Gotta be.
So Luke (everybody knows that guy, right?), big help as usual, but he comes back with bad news. Staggered fit on this app doesn't exist. Part number is there but no wheels are in this world. Bummer. After searching for months for the right wheels (I'm one of those guys), I'm back to drawing board.
But being a bit of a skeptic, I roll the dice and call Enkei directly. Get a get there on the phone named King. Helluva guy. Tell him my story of woe and he says, "Let me call Japan. Maybe they're there, sitting on a floor."
He calls back. Yep, we got your wheels. Order them through Tirerack, we'll get the PO and you sit tight for two months and maybe they'll get to you by July.
So I call King on Thursday of last week. "Hey, like your rims?" he says. What are you talking about, I don't have them. They're at Tirerack. I completed the order (it was all pending on the debit card pending delivery of the unmade wheels) and I got all 3 of them today.
Yep, 3. Other one got shipped to Ohio (I'm in Chicago) for some silly reason. Will be here tomorrow ... I hope.
So, 19x8.5 ET42 up front, 19x9.5 ET42 on the rear. Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 all around, 245/40 up front, 275/35 on the rear. Going on black 06 sedan dropped on Eibach Pro Kit.
And soon as it's light out tomorrow, I'll post some picts. I know, TTIWWOP.

Should look awesome. Another member on here is running a similar set up, but his wheels are gunmetal, not the SBC, and his car is a 03 or 04 graphite. Can't wait to see the pics!!!
You're making me anxious, I have my 19" SSR rims and Toyos; have to install the H & R springs and waiting for McGard lug nuts!
The waiting sucks!
Post pics ASAP!

Apologies for the delay.
So, much to my chagrin, I have not had time today to mount these suckers on the G. The good news is the last one came today so I have the full set. It was the second rear, a fat 275 meat. Here's some picts as it came shipped from Tirerack:

and ...

Maybe I'll get them on tonight. BTW, anybody looking for some stock rubber (235/45-18 Eagle NCT-5s with less than 2000 miles on them; flawless), let me know. Would like the space back in my garage with 2 sets of tires (stockers and my winter treads: Dunlops on the stock wheels).

da mayor: I'll take that as a compliment. Hope it was meant that way.
Here's what I like about them:
--As we all know, the G is some part luxury, some part sport sedan. The big baller look seems right (like the way gold rims somehow just look right on an Impreza but not on a Corolla). So, I wanted that.
--That said, I didn't want heavy chrome wheels. They may be simple but they're lightweight for their size, including the bling factor.
--The big lip. I debated this for a long time. That's THE THING to do now. The bigger the lip, the better (it's like Angelina Jolie syndrome for rims). But I see that a lot around here and it's more epidemic in warmer regions where more people do this sort of thing. If I'm going to be different, I wanted to be different not in the way everyone else is being different. I'm my own pack.
That's it. Not trying to convince you I'm right, just explaining my thought process. Thanks for looking.

One other thing: I ordered these with TPMS so I could keep the factory sensors mounted on my stock wheels. Luke at Tirerack said I'd have to take it to the dealer to get the car to recognize the new sensors. Does anyone know if/how I can do this myself at home? Or do I really have to take it in? And if I put them on tonight (I'm getting itchy to do it), what issues--if any--will I face while driving if I haven't reset the car to work with the new set up?

I was in the same boat. Wanted a rim that would compliment the car and lightweight. My rims aren't SBC, the spokes are light gunmetal and with an outter polished end.
Good choice! I had the Enkei RP-02s in 18" on my old Nissan Maxima, 18.8 lbs each!
Take some pics when you get them on!
