Honestly, I just took them out and gave them to my body shop to do a medium paint on 'em. Basically a clear coat with a little black mixed in, I think 3 passes.

Really? wow it looks great!

I definitely will. Blacked out the headlight housings this past weekend, added the OEM front lip last tues (as you can maybe see in the last pic, the rolling shot one); and for Hot Import Nights have several other things up my sleeves!
lol nice man nice. Hopefully i can get my 05 and make somthing of my own.

My Brother in law did this to his audi A6 xenon headlights, and it kind of messed them up, i mean it looks good from the side during day time, but at night the xonon blue bacame very dark white color, and it became very hard to see in dark while driving, So keep this in mind if anyone wants to do this to headlights,

that's a very good point, and a perfect example of why it should not be done to headlights but instead to side markers and to taillights.

i opted to black out the headlight housings as opposed to the actual lenses, so light output and dispersal remains unaffected, but i still get the benefit of having modded the lights.
