So – I’m in a bit of a quandary… as some of you know I am waiting on Volk 19” CE28Ns… additionally I am trying to find a reasonably priced way for the brakes not to look like **** behind them…

I was thinking of getting OCAutosort cross drilled and slotted – but OEM size… Now I’m worried that they will look odd being so small behind 19s… I’ve been pouring money into other crap on this car and really don’t want to go with big brake kit at this time…

So question is – will OEM non-brembo size rotors (even though slotted and possibly drilled) look odd? FWIW, I intend to paint OEM calipers a subdued graphite color and the rotors will be black… so none of it will be in your face anyway…

Thoughts please!

^Mike i just got my stoptech drilled rotors from Mike@riverside and they look much better than OEM and the performance is incredible compared to OEM as far as the fading resistance goes. I do have hawk pads with stoptech lines as well though. But lookwise they look much better than OEM. Recently did a hard canyon run with a friend, he had his 328 bimmer and his brakes started smoking and mine weren't even smelling. If i was all stock mine would smoke before his.

If you need new rotors right now, just get a set of slotted or cross drilled rotors. If you don't really need them right now, save your money and get a BBK.

Mike I think your choices are okay for the Ce28n's. Your advantage is in that the multi-spoke design will draw the attention away from brakes onto your rims itself. If you have thin 5 spoke wheels then all the attention would be drawn to the brakes. Additionally, since you're going to stealth them a bit it would come out great! Just make sure when you do eventually get a BBK, get one taht stands out a bit or they will get lost behind the wheels... Now tell Mackin to hurry up! I wanna see pix already!

would love to slam it vlad, but it just wouldnt be practical for me to do so. this car was my DD for a couple years until recently, now its a weekend car but I've gotten used to cruising instead of driving so cautious all the time. Who knows, perhaps coilovers are in the near future Just paid off my BBK
