What's wrong with impressing others? We all do it. Let's not even talk about cars...when you are with a woman and want to make a connection, relationship, whatever...you have to do something to impress her, whether it's look good, have a good sense of humor, nice personality, whatever it may be...yes some people TRY to impress by being something they're not, and that would be like modding your car to impress others specifically for that reason and no care as to liking it personally. But if one does it because they like it, what's wrong with that?

By your description, you are basically calling the majority of the people on this forum ricers. Look at how many people have body kits....that's make a car rice?

THAT is straight up rice, hands down. I wouldn't do underglow or underbody lights. Straight up Fast & Furious sh*t right there...IMO rice is poor modifications, could be from adding stupid lights that dont go well, primered vehicles, mismatching paint, improper fitment of body kits, kits that don't follow the factory lines...all the gauges yet no boost or anything, etc.

IMO, the curtains, etc... is fine because they are technically functional, just not performance oriented. Don't know what to say about the excessive camber and drop though...

But a VIP car becomes rice if the owner of a VIP car with privacy curtains, etc... is driving the car him/herself. It's like having a limo without a driver... it ain't pimp anymore...

Eh, not really. I was considering a Porsche Carerra before buying the G, but maintenance cost was going to be too much plus it had 80k miles on it. Not worth it.

A car is effective to pickup a women, but what kind of women is the key question. You can have a Ferrari and pickup every single women in the world, but whats the first thing they smell? Money. If you like the "gold diggers", then sure by all means pick them up, and start burning holes in your pockets just to be around them. To pickup a decent women, it reflects on your personality, looks, attitude, style and NOT just the car. Did you pickup your finance with your "Nissan"?
