Man you are brave, I'd be too nervous to do this myself to my Coupe 19s. Looks like you did a good job.

very clean look! I think you should've left the infiniti logo chrome though. you could've dremeled out the tabs of the infiniti symbol from the back and the glued them back on after. Very good job on the paint nonetheless!

I thought about that, but I was never a fan of diffrent colored center caps.

Thanks for the compliment

i keep coming back to the thread to look at it.......i really like the color LOL

on my works 17 crt monitor it looks like it has a hint of copper in it, i'm going to have to go home to look at it on a real monitor........i hope the copper tone is still there.......damn that color is HOT!

lol these pics dont do it justice, Im really happy how they came out, exactly like I wanted.. the color is deep.. in low light, youd think they were black wheels.

Ill try to get some better pics with my buddy's digi-cam.

I think the Gold brembos are gonna look pretty bad *** behind it.

one of the things I really like about the rays 19s is the finish is very eye-catching when clean and rolling in the sun--nice, reflective blade-effect.

However, you did a great job and it surprisingly looks good. I would not do this unless my rays were all scuffed and then it would be a no-brainer. However, I would still buy an OEM colored set to switch back and forth.

Thanks, that one wheel in the last pic all taped off was actually curbed when I got it, I tried to grind it down as best I could with a dremmel, without taking off too much material that it would be very noticeable..

you can still kind of see the a bit of the curbage on the lower left.. but alot better than before considering almost half the diameter of the lip was curbed.

They came out very nice. I think to make it look right you will need to black otu your door handles and windown trim. Right now that stands out like a sore thumb.

Duplicolor is a really easy product to use, they lasted really well on my previous wheels and barely noticeable with any chipping.
Kudos to you my fellow Canadian for having a pretty clean lower OB sedan with Gunmetal 19s .

I hope you let them cure for a while. that paint is pretty soft when it's has many layers. A month after I did mine you can see dirt, dust, and brake particles embedded into the paint. I'll probably do mine over again, but this time let the paint cure for a longer time than a day.

Looks great! I'd love to try that on my winter wheels but I'm afraid will will come out looking terrible.
