Calling g35papa!

Yo brotha. Your car is very similar to mine and I was wondering if you have any more pics since you got your black roof? I have seen the 3 or 4 that you posted... but they were from bad angles. Just wondering. I recently ordered the blue bats overlay but only after receiving it did I find it's a 2 piece! Ehhh, definitely not for me because I like my things perfect.
Thanks brotha.

Well, you could have just sent me a PM but this works too (cause I'm a pic ***** anyways )

I thought about doing the overlay before to test it out but if you really want a quality job, you need to get it painted. To me, there is a big difference between paint and an overlay. Not to dis on Bats stuff as his overlays are top notch but for the roof, paint is the way to go. I was back and forth for a long long time on getting it done...in the end, it is just a really classy look that I couldn't deny.

My G is out of commision right now, pending some new mods to get put on. Should be back to rolling sometime early next week or sooner. After that, I'll go out and take some new pics.

Till then, here is what I have right now.

black roofs are so ugly.....dont do it! Only "special" people would do that to their perfectly colormatched roof.

I never realized you had a black roof before today. Not sure how I missed it.

Looks like you got your door handles color matched while the car was in the shop as well!

I gone black too....Papa looks like you had the same issue I did.
On the passanger side you didnt have enough!! I did the same thing, when I installed it I cut too much off on driverside and ended up with a gap on passanger side. You can see it in the 4th pic. Thats the only thing I can suggest when doing this, you need to get it right. Also ordering just 1/2 the overlay will not work, color is diffrent from each roll that Bat uses, oops. But I love my overlay and its removable, try removing your painted roof!!!!

You lost me 03Sg.....did you think I installed an overlay?

I don't have an overlay....its paint. What you are seeing in the 4th pic is some sun reflecting off the roof.

I'm hoping to get something in the mail today so I can get my car back together and snap some pics.

My bad, yes I did think it was an overlay, in the 4th pic it looks like the right side bottom of the roof there is a white gap between the paint and the rubber weather strip???

No worries..yeah, that's just a reflection. The weather stripping was removed to paint the roof.
