Any Sedans With OEM 17 Black Powdercoated WITH Polish?

I've been looking around at some wheels and found some beautiful OEM 19's that were powdercoated black with a polished lip. It was gorgeous to say the least...and kind of got me wondering about doing the same...except to OEM 17's.

I've searched pretty extensively already and there are a few OEM 19's that did this, but all the other OEM 18's or OEM 17's were just plainly powdercoated without a polish. I was just wondering if anyone has done it before and what it looks like....as I'd really like to end up doing that to my own, but the more I think about it, the more weird it is since there isn't really a lip on the OEM 17's. I don't want to just powdercoat only as, in my opinion, it's too black and solid...but I don't know if there's a clear enough distinction between the spokes and lip of an OEM 17 for it to be effectively polished on the lip only...

Not sure if you guys get what I'm saying but here's some pictures to give you a better idea.

But...OEM 17's look like this...so where to polish?!

Hope this post isn't confusing...

You can't achieve the same look. Get some OEM 18's or 19's (better) and do it

Can’t polish with PC on a one piece wheel… you would need 2 piece… or you can paint and polish to get that look (I don’t like the idea of painting wheels – PC is much more durable).

There is no "lip" to polish. At least not all the way around.

Paint is okay if you use the right stuff. I used to paint wheels all the time but I puchased real automotive enamal with epoxy hardeners. Not rattle can stuff.

OEM 17s

Looking at doing something like that but getting the stocks chromed. You haven't by any chance come across any pictures of OEM 17's Chromed? been looking but no luck. Absolutly powdercoat over paint on yours. If you do it post pic's would love to see how that turned out.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking since there technically is no separation...darn. Wanted to save money that way lol.

Are the OEM 18's the same 2-piece design as the 19's?

Thanks for the responses guys!

Edit: Just thought of another option since I'm tight on money and don't want to give up other mods to get wheels. Papa, I remember you had time-attacked your PC'd wheels before. What do you all think about gloss black PC on OEM 17's with a polish time-attack (if that even exists lol)?
