Since I am in CA I figured I would get my drivers side rear door re-tinted since it was scratched from when I moved and had all my junk in the back of the car. I decided since the car was already at the shop to have the guy add another layer of limo tint on all the back windows... so I now have two layers of "limo" tint. When I got home I debadged the trunk and pulled the red ribons out of the reverse lights... I like the out come...

 

Looking good. So you have 2 layers of 5% (limo) in the back? How do you see at night? I can barely see with one layer of it. I have been using 5% for the past 4-5 years, but still sometimes its a pain..

Thanks! At night I can only see headlights no cars lol. Unless I look out my side mirror. My front is what my tint guy calls "Dark" or one step under limo but I dont know what % since he has never said what it actually is. I paid $100 for him to fix the driverside rear door and then make the back double limo. He does GREAT work, no bubles or frosting at all! Its usually 24 hours before you can roll them down again but with the double I plan to wait much longer just to be safe. I have to be carefull when backing up but other than that I LOVE IT!

On my back window is an AOPA sticker.....

Lol, what do you need double limo tint for? That's 5% on 5% on 79% glass meaning you have 0.01% tint!!

 

Tint looks sick, but damn you're asking for trouble from the cops.

 

I have the AWD since I live in ND most of the year, just in CA to visit family and friends. I have had my front tinted that dark since the day I bought my G and have had no problems with the Police. No real reason to have it that dark, but I really do like it..
