I wonder if they look at our stuff like we are theirs?...

Zack, do they look at forums like these or US mags and compare what we're doing?...

A lot of people over there follow what we do here from browsing forums and buying expensive US mags... but most people don't modify their cars to the extent that we do out here. The weather is way too harsh and the inspection process is very costly and strict - plus shops charge a fortune to install even the simplest mods. Most modifications that I saw were interior, suspension and wheels.

The guys with the exterior, paint and engine mods were the more hardcore guys and almost always had another car or motorcycle they would daily drive. My contact out there orders a lot of US made and Infiniti branded parts from me... they want our stuff just as much as we want their stuff. The meet I went to had about 30 V35 Skylines, and I'd say 28 of them were rebadged inside and out to Infinit G35's.

Wow, I didn't know that the majority of the modded Skylines were running Inifiniti badging. That's a crazy high percentage. I wonder if some Skyline owners give them a hard time like some people do here in the States with those who run Skyline badging.

At least they did it right, changing the badging inside and out.

What do their rear floor mats look like (have a Nissan logo on the "hump" in front of the middle seat??)? I wonder if any of them would want to swap with us, their Nissan badged one for our Infiniti badged one. Most that have done the exterior/interior Skyline badging still have an Infiniti logo on their rear floor mat.

great info Zack, thanks

how cool would it be to have an international meet with modded Japan and modded US!

Now that's something I could get behind!

In Vegas

What we really need is a foreign exchange program of badge/decal trading

I bet we could get more Japanese G35 modders to Vegas than we could get US G modders to mid west

He had a couple cars at the meet, and I walked by both of them without noticing the conversion because they looked so good.

Definitely get his info on how to ship us his fenders.

Damn these front end conversions look awesome. Honestly if Infiniti had made the front end like that from the beginning, I may very well have bought a sedan instead.

I found some forums in Japan. They have sedan groups there and they have a lot of members. Says they go to meets like here.

I need a mailing address in Japan to register.

There is a whole group of them that only do coupe front end conversions. The members on the forums also keep blogs with every mod they do. This is it. http://minkara.carview.co.jp/userid/186590/blog/
