Thanks for the offer but the completely open filter scares me here in our heat. Bought a pop charger 2 years ago and yanked it out of the car in 3 weeks. Couldn't take the sluggishness it produced.

As bad as it is here, I can't imagine ever living in Houston again for this very reason. It's disgusting how much you sweat there even in an air conditioned house.

Idk how you guys deal with this Texas dry heat, at least not along the coast. I'm used to the humidity and seabreeze of Florida. If it gets too hot, you could at least jump into "clear" waters of the Gulf lol.

And Tim, I yanked my pop charger recently due to the exact same reason and went back to the stock airbox, also so because I thought it might be affect my gas mileage as well.

That's the thing, along the coast it's not a dry heat. It's humid as crap and we don't get the nice tradewinds Florida does because we're on the Gulf of Mexico and not the open ocean. I lived in St. Pete for a while and still miss the climate. The city, not so much.

As far as the filter goes I've seen that a lot of people on here that claim they don't see any performance loss from heat soak with the pop don't live in our climate. For me it was night and day as I installed mine in June 2 years ago. Fortunately the R2C doesn't exhibit that and if I have lost any I can't feel it. One of the reasons I really like it, because it seals against the hood.

And Drew you never get used to the heat here, you just learn how to deal with it.

I'm sure you still get somewhat of a seabreeze coming off the Gulf, but maybe Florida is a peninsula and got more of it. And St. Pete is retireeville USA, along with Sun City Center lol. Too many old people and snowbirds driving around. I lived in the Tampa Bay area as well and miss it.

And yeah, once the 100+ weather came around I started noticing a lag and sluggishness. Made me hold back on PMing Marcus about the price of the furookie.

And all the more reason to stay inside

Thanks guys - yes Marcus, waiting since the day I bought to calipers In fact, I paid up front for 2-piece rotors since CZP indicated they would have them shortly after they sold the calipers... that ended up taking forever and I used the credit for coilovers instead.

Had I known it was going to take this long I might have gone a different route.

yes, I had some used 370Z sport rotors... initially I was holding off even using the brakes until rotors were developed - but like I said above, it took so damn long I ended up sourcing OEM rotors until 2-piece for all four corners were developed...

I weighed the RB and OEM prior to install - the weight savings claimed by Racing Break is spot on. Since I drove home with the pig heavy OEM in the trunk (with some other stuff) it's a little hard to tell if there are acceleration gains... I'll know better when I have time to play with the car and maybe get to the track.. they do look a helluvalot better than the fugly OEM though

I'll do a full review a little later...
