How much did you pick up at SSD for? My knowledge of flash memory says ~400$.

I just got a 1 TB Western Digital SSHD for my home desktop. 8gb of ssd mem is swap, so the startup files are on the flash memory.

Also, first boot with no password is amazing. Maybe 2-6 seconds.

 

Black Friday was very nice to me. Newegg one cost $296 shipped. Best Buy one is a slightly different model, so that cost $10 more, and I didn't have a discount coupon available for it, so it came out to $325 shipped. I get 5% cash back from my credit card company for Best Buy purchases this quarter, so it'll end up costing me $309 net. Total cost for two 500GB SSDs, (which will be striped into one 1TB array for insanity): ~$605.50 after tax & shipping.
