nah, clear coat makes it look black. loses the cf-ness. i found a way to make it look glossier though, armorall type spray helps.

I won't hate... but I will say this: The doggy door looks strange being the only thing that's red.

I think it would look better if you left the top of the trunk CF and painted the back GF.

^^^ I kinda like it like that. Unless you can get a full on match of the weave and the finish, leave it. Seeing unmatched CF is worse than unmatched paint.

i do have the cf doggy door that came w/the trunk, didn't have time to get into paint before EAF so i thought i'd rock the OEM doggy for a lil' contrast for now. i do plan on painting both the trunk and hood, something like this...
