Tail Light tinting

Opted for the painted tint (body shop, not rattle can) instead of the film. GA tint law legal! Shaved the emblems after this pic was taken. blacking out the chrome accents tonite. Totally changed the way the car looks.

Looks good, but you need window tint bad.
How strict are they in ATL?

The windows are actually tinted, but at the state minimum 35%. Boo. I did the black chrome trim last night and it looks good but there is something not quite right. I am going to black out the bumper inserts and see what I think then. Will post up pics for public advice.

Ah. Gotcha.

You thinking about painting the ducts gloss black to match the tails? If so, you might consider running the paint all the way to the edge like G Sedan did. That would look really nice IMO.

When you say "Black Chrome Trim" did you black it with blackout tape, have it sprayed over with a transparent black, or what?

Yeah sprayed it with transparent black. Yep thinking about painting the ducts to match the grill and rear emblem. It looks a little off with the black chrome grill, chrome backed headlights and dull black plastic ducts

^Oh yeah... If you've already got all those gloss black, go with gloss black on the ducts for sure!
Might as well just spray the chrome trim gloss black too. With the grill/headlights/emblems/ducts, it would match nicely.

i saw a white sedan that had it done and I didn't like the door handles black. I think I may monochrome those and the door/window trim

I'm not a fan of black door handles on any color other than black.
Color matched door handles are pretty sweet though. I was just talking about gloss black window trim. Sorry should have specified. Door handles could be matched to the body or you could leave them to match the wheel lips.

Have you thought about doing the roof in gloss black?

I saw the roof done in black on that same white sedan. Looks good on White but I don't know if I would like it on my color. I may leave the door and window trim alone. You bring up a good point that they match the rims and you would only see it from the side. I think after the air dams I will leave it alone. I have been focusing on the aesthetics because its free and I can't afford to do performance mods right now.

Mine is IP with a black roof

I've seen it done on the sliver. It looks awesome. I wish I could find the picture.

I think ultimately, gloss black window trim and body matched door handles would look really classy. But those are far from "free"
You could always break out some blackout tape for the window trim. Not permanent, and fairly cheap.

Another small bit of paint that really cleans up the look of our cars is to paint the plastic mirror bases to match the body color.
I'm planning on going gloss black with my mirrors and bases though. I think it'll match the roof nicely.
